The recently formed "Friends of the Library" has donated a total of $891.48 to the library this year. The monies were raised through a lot of hard work by many community members.

The group organized workers to prepare a variety of individual pies including apple, berry, and peach. The pies were sold at the Myrtle Point Harvest Festival in September.

The remainder of the funds were raised selling apple pie filling at the Saturday market in Coquille and the Elks Holiday Bazaar.

The library board and staff are very grateful  for their contribution. A portion of the funds has been used to purchase a new revolving media cabinet needed to house DVD's and VHS tapes.
